MIDWAY BRANCH. Midway Branch rises three miles southeast of Douglassville in north central Cass County (at 33°10' N, 94°18' W) and runs southeast for three miles to its mouth on Johns Creek, 6½ miles northwest of Atlanta (at 33°08' N, 94°16' W). The surrounding soils are loamy, and the gently undulating to gently rolling area was originally heavily wooded, with pines and various hardwoods predominating.
