MOUNTAIN CREEK (Hall County). Mountain Creek rises in eastern Hall County (at 34°28' N, 100°37' W) ten miles southwest of Estelline and runs northeast for eleven miles to its mouth (at 34°33' N, 100°24' W) on the Prairie Dog Town Fork of the Red River, just over the Childress county line at the northeastern edge of the Mill Iron rangelands (see CONTINENTAL LAND AND CATTLE COMPANY).
