MARTIN BRANCH (FRIO COUNTY)
MARTIN BRANCH (Frio County). Martin Branch rises two miles north of the La Salle county line and two miles west of Dilley in south central Frio County (at 28°42' N, 99°15' W) and flows northeast and then southeast for eighteen miles to its mouth on the Frio River, eleven miles northeast of Millet in central La Salle County (at 28°37' N, 99°01' W). Burns Reservoir is located on Martin Branch immediately north of the Frio-La Salle county line. Variable terrain around the stream is surfaced by sand and clay that support scrub brush, cacti, grasses, water-tolerant hardwoods, and conifers.
