MELTON BRANCH

MELTON BRANCH. Melton Branch rises near Dresden in west central Navarro County (at 32° 03' N, 96° 41' W) and flows southeast course for ten miles to its mouth on Richland Creek, five miles east of Purdon (at 31° 58' N, 96° 32' W). The stream flows through flat to rolling terrain surfaced by clayey and sandy loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods and grasses.
