MULE CREEK (MCMULLEN COUNTY)
MULE CREEK (McMullen County). Mule Creek rises twelve miles southwest of Tilden in south central McMullen County (at 28°22' N, 98°42' W) and runs southeast for nine miles to its mouth on the Nueces River, thirteen miles south of Tilden (at 28°17' N, 98°37' W). It traverses low-rolling to flat terrain with locally shallow depressions, surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support grasses, mesquite, and chaparral in the creek's upper reaches and water-tolerant hardwoods and grasses in its lower.
