OLMOS CREEK (KARNES COUNTY)
OLMOS CREEK (Karnes County). Olmos Creek rises just east of Coy City oilfield in western Karnes County (at 28°48' N, 97°59' W) and runs northeast for six miles to its mouth on Escondido Creek, three miles southeast of Karnes City (at 28°51' N, 97°56' W). It traverses flat to rolling terrain surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods and grasses.
