PANTHER CREEK (BOWIE COUNTY)
PANTHER CREEK (Bowie County). Panther Creek rises a mile north of Corley in southern Bowie County (at 33°20' N, 94°24' W) and runs south for 2½ miles, to its mouth on the Sulphur River (at 33°18' N, 94°24' W). The surrounding soils are loamy, and the area is for the most part wooded, with pines and various hardwoods predominating.
