PIN OAK CREEK (FREESTONE COUNTY)
PIN OAK CREEK (Freestone County). Pin Oak Creek rises two miles northeast of Fairfield in central Freestone County (at 31°45' N, 96°08' W) and runs northeast for nine miles to its mouth on Cottonwood Creek, three miles south of Harp (at 31°54' N, 96°05' W). Flat to rolling prairies in the area are surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support hardwoods, conifers, and grasses. The surrounding land is used primarily as dry cropland and forest.
