POOLS CREEK. Pools Creek rises three miles north of Oakhurst in northern San Jacinto County (at 30°47' N, 95°17' W) and flows northeast for six miles into Lake Livingston and the Trinity River (at 30°50' N, 95°14' W). The area has low rolling hills and prairies surfaced by clay and sandy loam that support grasses and some mesquite.
