POTRANCA CREEK. Potranca (Potrance, Petranco) Creek rises two miles east of Riomedina in eastern Medina County (at 29°26' N, 98°50' W) and runs southeast for ten miles to its mouth on the Medina River, two miles northwest of Macdona in southwestern Bexar County (at 29°21' N, 98°43' W). It traverses rolling terrain surfaced by clay loam that supports mesquite and grasses.
