PRICKLEY PEAR BRANCH
PRICKLEY PEAR BRANCH. Prickley Pear Branch rises north of Prideaux oilfield in extreme northeast Young County (at 33°24' N, 98°31' W) and runs northeast to its mouth on the West Fork of the Trinity River, in extreme southeast Archer County (at 33°26' N, 98°29' W). It crosses an area of steeply to moderately sloping hills surfaced by shallow, stony, sandy and clay loams that support mesquite, oak, and grasses.
