ROCKY CREEK (Palo Pinto County). Rocky Creek rises just east of Hodgkins gas field in southwestern Palo Pinto County (at 32°37' N, 98°28' W) and runs southeast six miles to its mouth on Palo Pinto Creek, two miles north of Mingus (at 32°34' N, 98°26' W). Rolling hills in the area are surfaced by clay and sandy loam that supports scrub brush, mesquite, cacti, and grasses.
