SPRING CREEK (Erath County). Spring Creek rises fourteen miles south of Stephenville in southern Erath County (at 32°00' N, 98°11' W) and runs east for ten miles to its mouth on the North Bosque River, two miles west of U.S. Highway 281 (at 32°00' N, 98°05' W). The surrounding steep slopes and benches are surfaced by shallow clay loam that supports juniper, live oak, mesquite, and grasses.
