STEWART CREEK (Young County). Stewart Creek, once known as Hunt Creek, rises five miles east of Loving in east central Young County (at 33°17' N, 98°27' W) and runs northeast five miles to its mouth on Cameron Creek, file miles northeast of Jermyn in west Jack County (at 33°19' N, 99°23' W). Resistant ledges and low cuestas in the area are surfaced by sparse shallow, stony, soils that support oak, mesquite, and grasses.
