TOWN BRANCH. Town Branch rises near Farm Road 221 two miles north of Bono in northwestern Johnson County (at 32°21' N, 97°31' W) and runs southeast for five miles to its mouth on Lake Pat Cleburne, three miles southwest of Cleburne (at 32°19' N, 97°27' W). Variable terrain in the area is surfaced by shallow stony clays that support juniper, oak, cacti, and grasses. For most of Johnson County's history, the Town Branch area has been used as range and crop land.
