TORRES CREEK. Torres Creek rises five miles northeast of Oilton in southeastern Webb County (at 27°33' N, 98°56' W) and runs north for seventeen miles to its mouth on Black Creek, ten miles northwest of Mills Bennett (at 27°46' N, 98°57' W). It crosses low rolling and flat terrain with locally shallow depressions surfaced by clay and sandy loam that supports grasses, mesquite, chaparral, and water-tolerant hardwoods.
