WARREN CREEK. Warren Creek, also known as Waring Creek, rises just east of the Pottsville gas fields in Hamilton County (at 31°43' N, 98°20' W) and runs northeast ten miles to its mouth on the Leon River (at 31°47' N, 98°10' W). The creek crosses a southern tip of Comanche County but reenters Hamilton County during its course. The surrounding steep slopes and benches are surfaced by shallow clay loam that supports juniper, live oak, mesquite, and grasses.
