WILLIS CREEK (BROWN COUNTY)
WILLIS CREEK (Brown County). Willis Creek rises in south central Brown County (at 31°41' N, 99°03' W) and runs eight miles, through Brownwood, to its mouth on Pecan Bayou, four miles east of Brownwood (at 31°42' N, 98°56' W). The area is flat with local shallow depressions and is surfaced by clay and sandy loam that support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
