BAYOU DIN. Bayou Din rises seven miles north of Fannett in central Jefferson County (30°01' N, 94°15' W) and flows southeast for sixteen miles to its mouth on Hillebrandt Bayou, ten miles south of Beaumont (at 29°57' N, 94°08' W). The stream is marshy and intermittent in its upper reaches. Much of the surrounding land is used for rice culture. Two pumping stations on minor tributaries of Bayou Din aid efforts at irrigation and drainage.
