WILLOW MARSH BAYOU
WILLOW MARSH BAYOU. Willow Marsh Bayou rises 2½ miles northwest of the Beaumont Municipal Airport in northern Jefferson County (at 30°06' N, 94°15' W) and runs southeast for 11½ miles to its mouth on Hillebrandt Bayou, seven miles south of Beaumont (at 29°49' N, 94°08' W). The bayou cuts through the muddy, clayey soil that characterizes much of the upper Texas Gulf Coast. Much of the surrounding prairie is used to cultivate rice.
