NORTH FRANKLIN MOUNTAIN

NORTH FRANKLIN MOUNTAIN. North Franklin Mountain is just west of Fort Bliss and three miles west of Farm Road 3255 in the Franklin Mountains State Park in northwestern El Paso County (at 31°54' N, 106°30' W). This peak, at an elevation of 7,192 feet above sea level, is the highest of the Franklin Mountains and rises 3,110 feet above Farm Road 3255. The local shallow stony soils support scrub brush and grasses. An abandoned navigation light is on the summit of the mountain.
