POINT PEAK. Point Peak stands six miles west of Buchanan Lake Village in northeastern Llano County (at 30°51' N 98°33' W). At an elevation of 1461 feet, its summit rises approximately 300 feet above the adjacent terrain. Local topography is flat to rolling, with local escarpments and dissection, covered with soils ranging from sandy to clay loams. Vegetation consists primarily of open stands of live oak and mesquite.
