ROUND MOUNTAIN (BLANCO COUNTY)
ROUND MOUNTAIN (Blanco County). Round Mountain is two miles northwest of the Round Mountain community in northern Blanco County (at 30°27' N, 98°22' W). The elevation of its summit is 1,595 feet above sea level. Round Mountain lies in an area of the Edwards Plateau characterized by shallow stony, clayey soils and level to gently rolling uplands and ridgetops. Steep slopes and limestone benches give a stairstep appearance to the landscape. Vegetation consists primarily of grasses and open stands of live oak and Ashe juniper.
