COTTON LAKE. Cotton Lake, fed by Cotton Bayou, is 1½ miles south of Cove in northwestern Chambers County (at 29°48' N, 94°48' W). It is roughly one mile long and one mile wide at its widest dimensions. The surrounding area of tidal marshland provides an excellent habitat for waterfowl.
