COX LAKE. Cox Lake, a shallow lake a half mile wide and more than a mile long, is northwest of Christmas Bay, twelve miles east of Angleton and three miles north of the Gulf of Mexico in east central Brazoria County (at 29°04' N, 95°14' W). The lake is fed by Bastrop Bayou.
