LIPAN SPRING. Lipan Spring is at the head of a branch of Lipan Creek in southeastern Tom Green County (at 31°15' N, 100°15' W). The spring is surrounded by flat terrain surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
