LAGUNA LARGA. Laguna Larga, an intermittent coastal marsh in northeastern Kleberg and southeastern Nueces counties (at 27°31' N, 97°24' W), measures eight miles long and four miles wide. Its Spanish name means long or large lake. Laguna Larga is surrounded by low-rolling to flat terrain, surfaced by sandy and clay loams that support scrub brush, cacti, and grasses.
