Health and Science in Texas

Choose four counties of similar population; for example between 10,000 to 19,999, 20,000 to 29,999, etc. Using the Line/Bar Graph Grid (Appendix) and the “Health Care and Deaths in Texas Counties” table, construct a bar graph comparing the number of physicians, the number of hospital beds, and the total deaths for each county. Students will design certificates to be given to the most recent selectees to the Science Academy. Each certificate should include the name of the honoree, the date, and their scientific discipline.
