Las Tejanas
This is a 4th Grade Social Studies Lesson Plan, created as part of the Project of the Ruthe Winegarten Memorial Foundation for Texas Women's History. This lesson plan introduces students to Tejanas’ contributions to the early history of the state. At the end of the lesson, students will have gained an understanding about how Tejanas helped settle and develop the land in early Texas history. The lesson can be covered in three class periods.
