Cody Mobley, Site Manager of Fort McKavett State Historic Site, shares the history of the fort. Founded on March 14, 1852, the fort housed the federal military, including elements of the 4th Infantry, all four regiments of the Buffalo Soldiers, and the 10th Infantry among others.
